Course summary
If you want a career in business or finance, the BA (Hons) Business and Financial Management degree will give you the knowledge and experience to succeed. You'll learn how financial management supports long-term business success, focusing on key areas such as accounting, cash flow management, sustainability, and informed decision-making.
From the start, you will apply your learning to real business situations through case studies, simulations, and industry-linked modules. You will build critical thinking skills and get hands-on experience with digital tools, including optional specialist courses with Sage Group PLC.

You can join the Business Society to attend events, company visits, and guest lectures from leaders like the CEOs of Castrol, Global Blackswan, and ONYX. These experiences give you insight into real careers and help you start building your professional network.
You can also take an optional paid placement year between your second and final year. Most students earn around £14,000–£18,000 and many secure graduate jobs with their placement employer.
