Course summary

Top up your existing qualification to a full honours degree in one year.

You'll study topics including project management, telecommunications, product development, and advanced routing. You'll have full access to outstanding facilities, including specialist computer forensics laboratories. We're also an accredited Cisco Academy and have two labs packed with Cisco networking equipment. This includes routers, switches, terminals and specialist equipment for simulating frame relay and ISDN links.

You'll graduate as a competent network practitioner. Your high level of networking and transferable skills will make you attractive to future employers.

How you'll learn

A typical week will include interactive lectures, tutorials, seminars, and lab-based practicals. You'll also learn through group problem-solving sessions, case studies, and guest expert lectures. You'll use the University’s virtual learning environment for group activities, discussions, assignments, and links to resources.

Assessment methods include coursework and exams. Some assessments count towards your degree. There are also ongoing assessments to gather feedback and build on your learning.

Fees and finance support

Undergraduate fees are set according to rules from Government in line with forecast inflation. If you're a Home fee-paying student, the fee for your first year of study for 2026/27 will be £9,790. You'll pay tuition fees for every year of study. Fees may increase every year based on the Retail Price Index.
