The BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Sciences course is our broadest sports degree, designed to prepare you for a career in the exciting world of sport and leisure.

You’ll build practical skills in areas like psychology, physiology, anatomy and biomechanics, strength and conditioning, performance analysis, nutrition, and injury rehabilitation. In your final year, you’ll work directly with athletes and sports teams during an assessment placement to apply your knowledge in practice.

The course also sets you up for supervised experience – the first step to becoming a professionally recognised sport and exercise scientist, accredited through The Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES)(opens in new tab).

Graduates of the degree go on to work with:

  • Sports clubs
  • National sports bodies
  • Leisure companies
  • Recreation services

  • Schools and colleges.

Past students have become sports and exercise scientists, performance analysts, and sports psychologists.
