Our Class of 2016 graduates proved the value of a degree from Sunderland, as captured in the latest Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey results, which again saw a rise on the previous year.
Based on UK, full-time, first degree graduate destinations of 2015/16 leavers, the results show that:
- 94.2% of our 2016 graduates were in work or further study six months after graduating (compared to 94% in 2015)
- 68.3% of our 2016 graduates were in professional level jobs (compared to 66.8% for 2014/15 leavers)
The figures prove that an overwhelming proportion of our UK graduates quickly make the transition from university into employment or higher level study, and are well on their way to achieving their career aims, just six months after graduation.
At least nine out of ten graduates on 75% of our courses were in employment, further study or training 6 months after completing their programme. The following courses achieved an impressive 100% for this indicator:
