Georgios Chnarakis

Georgios is the President: Education at the Sunderland Students’ Union, being the lead officer for students on educational policy development.

Georgios is a graduate of the University of Sunderland with a BSc First Class (Hons) in International Tourism and Hospitality Management. He has also studied Business (Tourism and Hospitality) at La Trobe University, Australia, as part of a student exchange programme, and attended the Entrepreneurship Boot Camp at Michigan State University, USA, as part of a study abroad programme. This year, he is a postgraduate student at the University, studying MBA with a specialty in HR.

Georgios has extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality industry. Over the past ten years and prior to his role at the Students’ Union, Georgios has worked internationally, including at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix and the Australian Open. Alongside his role at the Students’ Union and his studies, Georgios also works as a restaurant supervisor in Newcastle.
