Senior Lecturer in Management

I commenced my lecturing career at the University of Sunderland after qualifying as a teacher in 2007. Prior to working in Higher Education, I enjoyed a career as a practising regional and operational manager where I gained experience in both the public and private sector, working for companies in financial, leisure, sports retail and dairy industries. This diversity of working contexts allows me to draw on this background in my teaching and research supervision.

Teaching and supervision

I have been a Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Business and Management and BA (Hons) Applied Management and BA (Hons) Sports Management

I am currently Module Leader for four core Management modules:
UGB107 Introduction to Business Management
UGB224 Business Management
UGB261 Management Thought
UGB264 Business: Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability

Research interests for potential research students

I am interested in management decision making, strategy and emotion. I have supervised research students at undergraduate and postgraduate from different disciplines, undertaking a variety of projects; issues in social responsibility dynamics, management decision making in a commercial context and managing change in wide variety industry contexts.
