Lecturer in Accounting and Finance

I am a finance professional with substantial accounting and finance experience spanning nearly 15 years. My journey in the finance sector has been diverse, encompassing roles such as finance coordinator, accountant, and finance business partner in various public and private sector organisations.

As a proud member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), I hold dual MSc degrees in Financial Management from the University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow, and Marketing Management from Teesside University.

Joining the accounting and finance team at the Faculty of Business and Law in 2023 has been an exciting chapter in my journey. My goal is to share my finance and accounting knowledge and practical experience with students, shaping the future generation of accountants.

Beyond finance and numbers, my interests include reading and crafting personalised photo albums as well as exploring new destinations and embracing the immersive world of gaming.

I am Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Management Top-Up.

In addition, I am also the Module Leader for UGB393 – Strategic Management Accounting and UGB108 – Quantitative Methods for Business, where I aim to share my practical experience and provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the field of accountancy and finance.

My research interests are centered around sustainable accounting, integrated reporting, and the ongoing digital transformation within the accounting landscape, with a specific focus on the future implications of artificial intelligence (AI).
