Lecturer in Finance and Enterprise

I was appointed Lecturer in Finance and Enterprise in 2015, having commenced my teaching career at the University of Sunderland as an Academic Tutor in 2009, before joining full time in 2015. I have been in Secondary and Further Education (FE) since 2011 after then successfully completing a PGCE programme with University of Sunderland. The wealth of pedagogical experience is translated in University lectures and seminars in bringing a learning style that is adapted for all types of learners.

Teaching and supervision

My current teaching and supervision for both undergraduates and postgraduates is focused on financial accounting with an emphasis on reporting and auditing throughout the modules.

Research interests for potential research students

My interests include but are not limited to enviromental accounting and behavioural finance, financial accounting standards, implications on global capital market funding for firms and ratio analysis, small charities CSR and accounting and disclosure for charities.
