Lecturer in Computer Science (Robotics)

I am a Lecturer in Computer Science in the Faculty of Technology. I received my BSc in Computer Engineering, MSc (by research) in Engineering, and PhD in Engineering with a concentration in robotics from Khalifa University of Science and Technology in the United Arab Emirates, in 2014, 2016, and 2021, respectively.

I worked as a Research Assistant at the Khalifa University Center of Autonomous Robotics Systems (KUCARS) in 2017. I worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Khalifa University from 2015-2021. I also worked as a Senior UAV Engineer with SystemTrio robotics technology Company from 2021-2022 before joining the University of Sunderland as a Lecturer in 2023.

My main research interests include autonomous robotics exploration, robotics navigation and mapping, artificial intelligence, and robotics/computer vision.
