Lecturer in Computer Science

I am a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University. I received my BEng, MPhil, and PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2007, 2015, and 2017 respectively. My research areas include music information retrieval, audio signal processing, and machine learning/deep learning.

Before joining the University, I worked at Tencent Music Entertainment (TME) as a Senior Researcher, and at Huawei Hong Kong as a Senior Engineer. I developed singing voice evaluation algorithms and music generation systems using Artificial Intelligence. I was also an Adjunct Lecturer at the Hong Kong University School of Professional and Continuous Education (HKU SPACE).

Besides actively participating in research and teaching, I am a professional musician and music producer.
