I specialise in the following areas:

Computer Architectures:
In this area I specialise in teaching students how to build and set up PCs and tailoring them to suit the needs of applications software.

Computer Networks:
Looking at all aspects of computer networks including routing and switching in both local and wide area networks, both wired and wireless. I am a certified Cisco Academy Instructure (CCAI) and deliver Cisco's CCNA qualification as part of my networking modules as an additional learning opportunity for students.

Network Security and Cybersecurtiy:
A really important area for all of us. The security of our data and conversations is extremely important for all systems users well-being. I show student how to take the networks they build or simulate and show them how to make them secure from hacker attack and other network nuisances or dangers. I do this from both the infrastructure point of view (Network Security) and the user/systems point of view (Cybersecurity).
