I have worked on a wide-range of topics in microbiology over the years mostly focussing on molecular genetics. My main current research interests are as follows:
- Discovery of novel antimicrobial natural products from bacteria using a combination of lab-based microbiology and genomics approaches
- Transcriptional regulation of host interaction functions in Gram-negative bacteria (mainly E. coli).
