Senior Lecturer

I am passionate about entertainment formats, participatory fan cultures, and the use of fan/audience/user-generated content. I am also one-half of the writing team behind the massively successful ‘Wife in Space’ blog and book Adventures with the Wife in Space - Living with Doctor Who, published by Faber and Faber in 2013.

Teaching and supervision

I am module leader for:

  • MED 219 – TV Studio: Production & Development
  • MED 338 – TV Studio: Format Factory
  • MAC 307 – Video Production II


I also support the teaching on MED 326 and MA Radio, Audio and Podcasting.

Research

I’m currently working on an analysis of immersive learning strategies during short-term study trips and their impact on graduate employability outcomes.
