Senior Lecturer and Programme Lead – Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship

I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 20 years of clinical experience in the NHS. I left my post as a Modern Matron in 2019 to join the Nursing Apprenticeship Team at the University of Sunderland.

Teaching and supervision

I am a Senior Lecturer and teach a range of subjects across all fields of practice. I am Module Lead for Interprofessional Working and Leadership for our final year students. Additionally, I am Programme Leader for BSc (Hons) Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship supporting a fabulous team of lecturers and senior lecturers delivering first-class nurse education.
I have a particular interest in mental health nursing, clinical risk, and suicide prevention. I have an MSc in Healthcare Leadership and deliver teaching in the key areas associated with nurse leadership.
