Lecturer/Clinical Link Tutor

I am a Lecturer and Clinical Link Tutor for BSc (Hons) Children's and Young People's Nursing Practice and lead PDN 102 – Foundations of Nursing Practice module.

I am a registered children's nurse with the NMC and have also undertaken studies to become a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) and Community Practitioner Nurse Prescriber. I am passionate about working with children and their families to ensure the best possible outcomes.

On completing my initial training, I worked in neonates for several years before undertaking a staff nurse role with the school nursing team. These roles enabled me to gain experience to pursue my SCPHN qualification in Health Visiting. Throughout my nursing career, I have always enjoyed working with student nurses in practice and I'm now fortunate to be able to support them in a university setting.
