Lecturer and Clinical Link Tutor

I am a Lecturer and Clinical Link Tutor for BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing Practice. I am a Registered Adult Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and an Independent Nurse Prescriber.

I qualified as an Adult Nurse in 2006 and my clinical background is in chronic pain and neuromodulation, working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

I also have a background in general surgery, neurosurgery and neurology. I have been involved in nurse-led research with the aim to improve patient care by developing ways to deliver neuromodulation therapy (spinal cord stimulation) for the management of chronic neuropathic pain.

Teaching and supervision

I am a Lecturer for BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing Practice. I teach across a variety of modules and years. I am also a Clinical Link Tutor for those students placed in Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
