Senior Lecturer In Pharmaceutics

I teach undergraduate and postgraduate programs in pharmaceutical sciences. My main research focuses on the area of pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical powder formulations and its characterisation.



Teaching and supervision

I teach on the following courses in the area of pharmaceutics, formulation design and drug delivery systems:


I am Module Leader for PBFM13 and I'm currently co-supervising 2 PhD students. 

Research interests for potential research students

Formulation of oral solid dosage forms including pelletization via extrusion and spheronization and film coating. 
Production of micro-/nano-size particles or vesicles for small drug and macromolecules.

Research

  • Multiple unit dosage forms and Pelletization by extrusion and spheronization.
  • Vesicles preparations such as drug loaded niosomes, self emulsifying system. 
  • Modified release hydrocolloid matrix systems for oral delivery.
  • Biodegradable micro- and nanoparticles for drug delivery
