Emma Cullen

I am a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education and Society working with both undergraduate and postgraduate trainees in primary education. I am Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS. 

Prior to this, I worked as a primary school teacher since qualifying in 2006. During my time teaching, I worked with children across the entire primary age phase and coordinated a range of subjects including English (writing), mathematics, computing, and geography. I have also worked as a senior leader across two schools leading Key Stage 2.

I am passionate about education and ensuring the very best outcomes for all children. My subject strengths lie in teaching mathematics and English.

I have experience in mentoring both trainee teachers and those new to teaching having supported trainee teachers and mentoring teachers new to the profession while working in school.

I am keen to use my experience and expertise to develop those entering the teaching profession.
