Becky Cozens

I am an academic tutor in the Faculty of Education and Society, specifically on PGCE Early Years Teaching (DL). I trained as a Primary school teacher, specialising in the age range 3-7 years. Once qualified as a teacher, I worked in a maintained nursery school as part of a Sure Start Children’s Centre. Since then, I have continued to spend time in nurseries alongside working as an Early Years lecturer in a college teaching and supporting the development of future Early Years Educators. I am currently also a Programme Manager for two departments (Early Years and Health and Social Care) within the Further Education college I teach in.

While working as a lecturer, I studied for a Masters in Early Childhood Studies. I am currently studying for my PhD in Education and Social Justice.
