This event will showcase insights and artwork from a participatory research project which explored the concept of recovery in mental health
This project explored how people who experience mental health problems conceptualise recovery and think about their own recovery journeys. Using an arts-based approach, two groups of adults with lived experience of mental health problems came together to reflect upon and discuss what recovery meant to them and to create artwork which reflected their perspectives and experiences.
This event will showcase the artwork as well as sharing key insights from the project team related to the development of the research project itself and to the key findings from this research.
This event will be of interest to students, academics, and practitioners whose work connects them with people who share similar experiences or who have a broader interest in mental health and recovery.
