Topic - Schools and Colleges
Each year, our graduating art and design students host a degree show to exhibit their work in a major public exhibition. The degree show is a culmination of the hard work and dedication they've put into their final year. It is also a celebration of creativity and the beginning of their exciting new journey as a creative professional.
This year, we invite schools and colleges to visit our degree shows, have a dedicated tour of the students' work, and gain an insight into our art and design department. Whether you have students interested in painting, print, sculpture, photography, fashion, or digital installation, our students' work is a broad spectrum of creativity, imagination and skill, and will give you a great insight into what students work towards when they study with us.
The day will consist of an introduction to art and design at the University before an in-depth tour of students' work in the exhibition spaces in Priestman Building. Following the tour, we will spotlight some of the work and examine it in more detail to explore the research and thought behind the final piece.
During the visit, students will get the opportunity to see work from graduates of the following courses:
- BA (Hons) Animation and Games Art
- BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Promotion
- BA (Hons) Fine Art
- BA (Hons) Graphic Design
- BA (Hons) Illustration and Design
- BA (Hons) Photography, Video and Digital Imaging
Spaces for this event are limited, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Tours can be arranged on a different day if this is more suitable for you.
The degree show is available for schools and colleges to view from Monday 9 to Friday 13 June. Please contact student.recruitment@sunderland.ac.uk for more information.
