The academics are all currently working in the University’s Faculty of Education and Society but have also been studying to in a bid to extend their already strong teaching skills.

Professor Lynne Mckenna, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Society, said: “I am extremely proud of and pleased for this group of exceptional staff members.

“It is important that our students are taught by staff with a higher degrees and as these members of staff came from strong professional related disciplines and backgrounds, they have brought with them exceptional experience and practice. This enables our staff teams to enhance the student experience as they bring up-to-date, professional practice into the practical classroom experience.”

The eight graduates are Jodie Weatherston, Emma Aggar, Emma Cullen, Vicky Graham, Marc Husband, James Scorer, Kristy Regan and Vicki Stokes. Three graduated with Masters in Education and five with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Higher Education.
