Congratulations to 2011 BA Media Production graduate Jordan North who has been announced as a permanent fixture on Radio 1.
He has joined new talent Maya Jama alongside celebrity presenters including Scarlett Moffatt and Mollie King, and will host Radio 1’s Greatest Hits on Sundays (10am-1pm).
Jordan said: "What a great start to my 2018 - I'm absolutely made up! It's no secret that this has been a childhood ambition of mine, so to get my own show on Radio 1 and officially be part of the family is just amazing. To be honest, it's not properly sunk in, but I can't wait to be back on air and start presenting Radio 1's Greatest Hits.”
As well as Radio 1 Jordan has worked for Rock FM, The Hits and Capital Manchester - as well as working on Spark FM throughout his time at Sunderland.
In the final year of his degree Jordan won Bauer Radio’s competition to find the next generation of talent and landed his own Sunday show on The Hits Radio. Jordan has never looked back.
