SURE

Sunderland University Repository provides a searchable record of research produced by the University of Sunderland including practice-based research and theses.

SURE and Open Access

SURE is provided by the University to enable our authors to take advantage of the Green route to Open Access. By self-archiving their work in SURE authors can increase access to their research and meet funder requirements on Open Access.

SURE and research discovery

SURE is indexed by a number of discovery tools including Google Scholar, Unpaywall and CORE. SURE provides authors with a stable URL with which to link to the Green Open Access version of their work. This can be used to share the work through course materials, social media or platforms such as Wikipedia.

SURE and staff profiles

Publications logged in SURE inform the publications tab of staff profiles on the University website. For support with publications on your staff profile contact sure@sunderland.ac.uk

SURE and research evaluation

It is good practice to keep your publications up to date in SURE. Staff submitting an Individual Research Plan will need to refer to their relevant publications in SURE. SURE displays statistics about your work, downloads and Altmetric scores are displayed at the article level.

Using SURE

Authors at the University of Sunderland can log into SURE using their institutional credentials in order to deposit their work. If you are a new starter at the University and need help importing your publications or would like to make an appointment to review your SURE profile please contact sure@sunderland.ac.uk
