Research and Knowledge Exchange Conference 2023

The University’s first Research and Knowledge Exchange Conference took place at The Fire Station on 13 January 2023.

The Conference’s theme is Applied, Inclusive and Creative: The Role of Research and Knowledge Exchange in a Modern University, which aims to bring these two key pillars of academic engagement together, exploring the changing landscape and seeking ways to strengthen our impact within these areas.

We want to share success, inspire new activity, encourage further engagement and provide an overview of the supportive and focused environment we are creating as part of our new Research and Knowledge Exchange plan 2020–2025.

Dame Jessica Corner, Executive Chair at Research England, is our keynote speaker and will also be joined by Paul Swinney, Director of Policy and Research at Centre for Cities.

The Vice-Chancellor, Sir David Bell, will then lead an ‘in conversation’ session, before we welcome inspiring academic colleagues to share the fascinating research and knowledge exchange projects currently being undertaken at the University.

Following the Conference, there will be an opportunity to network and visit a number of exhibitors over an informal drinks reception.

We look forward to welcoming you to what looks set to be an inspiring and informative conference and hope to see as many of you there as possible.

If you are interested in presenting at the conference during the Academic Presentations and Q&A session, then please contact Research and Knowledge Exchange.
