This event is aimed at anyone wishing to apply for a university place starting in September 2022.

The UCAS deadline is approaching but it’s not too late to apply! Whether you are in Y13, on an Access Course or just looking for a change, we are here to guide you through the process and support your application to Sunderland.

Our first session in our ‘It’s not too late’ series of events will give you a taste of what’s on offer here at the University of Sunderland – from our range of courses to our facilities at our campuses.

UCAS - Tuesday 18 January, 17:00-18:00

This session is designed to take you through the UCAS process.

University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) is how you will apply for a place at university. Join us for a step by step guide on what you need to know, so you have everything ready to apply.

Personal Statements - Wednesday 19 January, 17:00-18:00

Once you have decided what and where you are going to study, your Personal Statement will help you to sell yourself to admissions tutors.

Our session gives tips and advice on what universities look for in personal statements, what to include and how best to showcase your skills. Whatever course you choose, your personal statement can help improve your chances of getting an offer of a place.

Interviews and Portfolios - Thursday 20 January, 17:00-18:00

Your University interview is the perfect opportunity to show just what will make you a great student.

Join us for this session which will help you become interview ready, and give you tips and advice about what to include in your portfolio when applying to Sunderland.

Next Steps and getting ready for Student Life - Friday 21 January, 17:00-18:00

Once you have your place, its time to think about everything you need to do to get ready for Uni.

From accommodation to our Flying start – a ‘before you get here’ module, the University of Sunderland has a wide range of student-focused support and activities on offer to help you prepare for University life.
