Course summary

You can study this human resource management (HRM) course as a PgCert or PgDip. All modules are at postgraduate level (Level 7). The PgCert awards 60 credits and the PgDip awards 120 credits.

You’ll learn key skills in managing people and supporting learning and development. The course can also lead to professional membership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

You’ll build strong problem-solving skills and learn how to use theory in real workplace situations. You’ll visit UK companies and hear from guest speakers who share their real-life experience.

Our HR practitioners work closely with staff to run events and workshops. These will help you get ready for a career in HR. You’ll also have the chance to meet people and build your professional network while you study. This can be valuable when you graduate and want to move into more senior HR roles.

Both routes offer the option to progress to the full MSc Human Resource Management degree.
