I grew up in Sunderland, so I knew the University had a good reputation for Pharmacy. My colleagues studied here and they recommended it, too. With lectures from clinical prescribers and study days focussing on each clinical topic, the course helped to broaden my knowledge.
I wouldn’t be where I am now without this qualification. The course was very flexible as the University understood the importance of fitting lectures and seminars around my work schedule. This was a key point for me.
Since graduating, I’ve been working as both a practice and community pharmacist. However, my job prospects have hugely increased since completing this course. I can now work as a practice pharmacist in GP surgeries, which is a vital stepping stone in becoming an independent prescriber.
The facilities at the University are very modern and clean, and the knowledge I’ve gained has allowed me to become a better community pharmacist.”
