Jessica Sparrow

Newcastle-Upon-Tyne

BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care

Jessica Sparrow worked as an Emergency Care Assistant at a private ambulance company, but always knew she wanted to take the step to become a paramedic as soon as she gained enough experience. In the future, Jessica would love to work on the air ambulance.

I chose to study at the University of Sunderland because it has really good resources, especially the simulation ward and ambulance and it is close to my home.

Here, I really enjoy practicing realistic scenarios with all the equipment and simulations. I also have the opportunity to practice assessing real patients and people.

I would definitely recommend the University to other students. I've had a brilliant experience so far with some lovely people and I can’t wait for the next two years."
