Course summary
The BA (Hons) Education Studies degree suits those interested in a broad, interdisciplinary approach to education. It also prepares you for a future teaching qualification.
You'll explore education from early years to adult learning. Topics include social justice, neurodiversity, curriculum design, globalisation, and the impact of technology and politics.
You'll also develop skills in research, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
Placements are a key part of the course. They give you real experience and help you find your interests. Possible career opportunities could include:

Please note, this course does not qualify you as a teacher. However, you will be guaranteed an interview for one of our PGCE or master’s courses if you choose this route after completing the degree.
