The University of Sunderland continues to prove life-changing for students overseas – as more than 500 students at our partner university in Malaysia have celebrated their graduations.

The University has been working with SEGi University and Colleges since 2004, making it one of the University’s longest standing TNE (Transnational Education Centres) partnerships.

Around 540 students graduated at the ceremonies held at SEGi’s sites in Sarawak, Penang, Subang Jaya and Kuala Lumpur. Programmes included MBA, ITHM, Engineering and Business.

Dr Derek Watson, Associate Professor in Cultural Management at the University of Sunderland, said: “On behalf of the University of Sunderland’s executive, I was truly honoured to lead the Degree Conferment’s at SEGi University and Colleges in Malaysia.

“Shaking hands with our graduates and witnessing their sense of achievement, reaffirms that we are a life-changing university, and our exiting 2022 graduates are tomorrow’s change makers.”
