Today (Thursday 23 February) delegates from ISMT College in Nepal – one of the University’s newest partner colleges – visited Hope Street Xchange on the University's City Campus to discuss the current partnership and future plans. Moving forward, the college is looking into offering additional under-graduate and post-graduate computing programmes – MSc Computing, MSc Data Science and BSc Cyber Security and Digital Forensics.

The college’s main site is in Kathmandu, with additional sites in Chitwin, Biratnagar and Pokhara. The college runs Computing, Business and Tourism programmes – but not at every site. Computing is their biggest provision for the University.

The college is currently awaiting approval to offer the MBA programme at various sites. They are also interested in running the BA (Hons) Business management and BSc (Hons) Computer Systems Engineering at Biratnagar site.

During their visit, ISMT College Chief Executive Ganesh Kumar Upreti and Principal Dhruba Babu Joshi met with University academics and executives, including Vice-Chancellor Sir David Bell, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Michael Young, Deputy Director of International at the University Ian Moody, Academic Dean for the Faculty of Business, Law and Tourism Professor Lawrence Bellamy and Academic Dean of the Faculty of Technology Professor John Murray.
