Our on-campus experience is designed to give sixth form and college students the opportunity to 'Get Into' their subject area and University life at Sunderland. Each Get Into... event can be tailored to you and your students’ needs and can include anything from hands on subject sessions, campus tours, career advice and student-life activities.
We know that time is valuable for students in Years 12 and 13 so we have developed a series of talks and workshops to fill 30 minutes to an hour in a range of topics.
We are happy to offer one to one UCAS support sessions. We know the process can get a little overwhelming so we want to support you in completing your UCAS application. Our Recruitment or Admissions team will spend up to 30 minutes with you to talk you through the UCAS process, the tariff point system, your personal statement and how UCAS track works.
Want to spend a day in the life of a University of Sunderland student? Throughout the year, we organise 'Student Shadowing' days, where you can spend a day shadowing a Sunderland student around campus. Get a student's-eye view of university life – you can see what a real lecture is like, find out where students relax between classes and even get a chance to see where you might be living in one of our Halls of Residence.
Book an Individual Tour for you and up to four of your friends and family to get a personalised tour of the campuses, view a room in our halls of residence and talk to academic staff who can tell you more about the subject you're interested in studying.
Our Applicant Summer School prepares students for starting their course in September by building their confidence on campus and giving them the opportunity to gain tariff points to complement their offer.
