Year 12 students who are fully registered participants on the First Choice Scheme will be required to take part in our Summer School where they’ll get to experience university life first-hand and explore what Sunderland has to offer.
*The 16 tariff points can be used against most of our courses, except for BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy and MBChB Medicine, although these do qualify for a guaranteed interview. The guaranteed interview for Medicine only applies to students who meet the Widening Participation criteria, and they must take the University Clinical Aptitude Test during the year in which they apply through UCAS. Scores must be within the top eight deciles of the cohort and the situational judgement test must be within bands one to three.
In some cases, new courses at the University may also not be eligible for tariff points or a guaranteed interview.
