You’ll also be better equipped to apply for training contracts or pupillages, if this is appropriate to your career stage.

Why Sunderland for Law

What you'll study

If you’re studying at a study centre, please contact the centre directly for up-to-date module information.

How you'll learn

We use a wide variety of teaching and learning methods which include weekly three-hour workshops. These are interactive and require a high level of preparation. You’ll also undertake a research project and dissertation which are supervised by your tutor.

Your progress will be assessed by written coursework, usually a 5,000-word essay for each taught module.

Compared to an undergraduate course, you'll find that this master's course requires a higher level of independent working.
