Benefit from the University’s purpose-built research and teaching facilities at the Sciences Complex, which has benefited from a multimillion pound investment over the last five years. With the Living Lab you have a chance to experience scenarios in simulated environments while an adjacent task trainer room which can be used flexibly and can aid with the development of clinical and non-technical skills.
NHS Learning Support Fund
The government has announced it will provide additional funding from the NHS Learning Support Fund. This will support home students starting Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy courses.
The new package includes:
- training grant of £5,000 per year (for new and continuing students)
- parental support payment of £2,000 per student per year to help with childcare costs
- a regional incentive payment of £1,000 per year for students studying in certain regions of the country (further details will be announced in due course) (for new students only)
- help towards additional travel and accommodation costs to clinical placements over your normal daily travel costs
- an exceptional hardship fund of up to £3,000 per student per academic year

Please note, if you are interested in applying for BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care and already hold a degree, you will not qualify for this grant.
