I choose to come to the University because it was the next step in learning more about games development. Before coming to Sunderland, I studied computer science in Romania.
The best aspect of the course is the practical teaching. We learn a concept and put it in practice immediately. We have live coding sessions and we learn a lot of industry standard practices that I believe would develop a graduate’s employability a lot. The modules we have are industry approved and games student can develop a full polished game from year two as we have modules where we work in teams, with game design and art students to create polished games.
I love this University and I think it is really life-changing. Students here usually have a close relationship with tutors and it makes learning way easier and comfortable.
The games lab is equipped with cutting edge technology like Mixed Reality, Virtual Reality headsets and machines with ultra-modern specifications that helped me develop games during my course.
Also, career services are there to help. I sought advice from them when crafting my CV and got accepted for a placement, the goal was achieved.
I came here to change my hobby and passion into my job and successfully achieved that goal."
