BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy

Alan Barlow came to the University of Sunderland as a mature student, running his own sports therapy business. He chose to study BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy following a positive conversation with the programme leader. After graduation he plans to work in the NHS as a Physiotherapist.

From the very first email enquiry I made, I felt that the University of Sunderland was interested in me, and wanted to help. I have my own sports therapy business but I wanted to become a Physiotherapist, with the aim of working in the NHS. I felt reassured about applying for the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy course after speaking to the programme leader, who was very supportive and friendly, and understood my situation as a mature student with other commitments.

My experience so far has been brilliant; the tutors are amazing, the facilities are first class - I love everything about the course. If you’re interested in studying Physiotherapy, I would advise that you come to an Open Day, look around and speak with tutors and current students.

I would recommend the University of Sunderland to other students, 100%.”
