Course summary
BSc (Hons) Animal Management is ideal if you want to take your interest in animals further. It builds on your previous studies, and prepares you for a career or further study. The course is designed with input from industry professionals. It reflects current practices in the animal sector.
This course will develop your skills in research, communication, and problem-solving. You'll understand how captive and wild animals are managed. The course also explores global and ethical issues affecting animals. You’ll get to undertake a year-long Research Project. This means you'll plan and research a topic you've chosen that interests you. Potential topics could be nutrition, health, welfare, or conservation.
After you graduate, you’ll be ready for a range of careers. These include roles in zoos, wildlife and conservation organisations, and the RSPCA. You can also go on to postgraduate study.
