This degree dives deep into the world of esports, from what makes a game successful to how events are planned, produced, and delivered. You’ll learn about the technology behind the scenes, the business side of gaming, and everything it takes to run major esports tournaments.

You’ll gain hands-on experience using our specialist equipment which includes a dedicated esports event space, live streaming facilities, and a simulation suite. You’ll build the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this fast-paced industry, covering key areas such as esports technology, digital innovation and marketing, event planning and operations, and performance analytics.

The course also offers field trips to a range of venues and activities (both in the UK and internationally) giving you the chance to apply what you’ve studied to real-life scenarios.

What you'll study

Undergraduate module credits should total 120 credits per academic year. If optional modules are available alongside core modules on your course, you should choose an amount that totals 120 credits.

How you'll learn

The course uses several different teaching methods including recorded lectures, workshop and seminar sessions, field visits, online learning, one-to-one tutorials, and supervision.

Assessments will usually be written assignments either in essay, report, project, or dissertation format. Other assessment methods include presentations, blogs, vlogs, and examinations.
