We've recently launched the Hospitality Mentor programme in partnership with the North East Hotels Association (NEHA), which connects our tourism, hospitality and events students with experienced hoteliers from across some of the North East's best hotels.
The programme is an excellent chance to network and learn directly from industry professionals as the mentors share the expertise they've developed. You'll also be able to see some of the diverse career paths that are available within the industry first-hand and start to determine which routes appeal most to you.
As an undergraduate student, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to undertake a paid work placement between your second and final year of study. This is an invaluable opportunity to gain work experience and network with industry professionals from different cultures and businesses.
Previous years have seen our students undertake placements in a number of exciting businesses including The Customs House, The Landmark London Hotel, Constructing Excellence, and the Hilton Garden Inn.
