When I didn’t get the grades to study at my first choice university I was devastated. I thought I wasn’t going to be able to attend university at all.
I called the team at the University of Sunderland, and they reassured me that it wasn’t the end of the world. I realised that everything happens for a reason, and Sunderland is where I was supposed to study.
The lecturers on the LLB course are first class, and only ever an email away when you need them. The support they provided was incredible throughout my three years at the University.
Throughout my studies, I had the opportunity to work within the University of Sunderland Law Clinic as a family law student advisor, providing free legal advice to members of the local community. I had the opportunity to provide legal advice on child arrangement, divorce and financial orders and parental responsibility.
Studying for my degree and my LPC has been the best four years of my life, and really prepared me for the real world. Now I am working as a Paralegal in Family Law, an area of law which I am incredibly passionate about.”
