This is a non-accredited update which is only available for Practice Nurses. The session provides knowledge around the latest NICE guidelines, advice on menopause and ways in which it can be recognised. Testing, swabs and bloods for women’s health are a few of the outcomes that will be achieved from the day.

Course structure

This update will take place in the Sciences Complex which contains the Living Lab, an integrated facility, supported with IT connectivity that enables a range of patient journeys and scenarios to be modelled.

  • Swabs, tests and women's health bloods
  • Contraception, what's new
  • Our Clinical Skills Suite is equipped with a range of clinical equipment for training health professionals. The cutting-edge equipment is backed up with excellent IT facilities and helpful IT support staff.

  • We’ve got thousands of relevant books and e-books, with many more titles available through the inter-library loan service. We also subscribe to a comprehensive range of print and electronic journals so you can access the most reliable and up-to- date academic and industry articles. There are nearly 9,000 journal titles, mostly in electronic format.

This course is based in the Sciences Complex at our City Campus, which boasts excellent facilities and cutting-edge equipment thanks to multi-million-pound investments.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be a Registered Nurse.

Fees and finance

The fee for this course is £75, but you may be eligible for HEENE funding.
